Licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, he is affiliated with a number of hospitals and medical centers, including Banner Heart Hospital.

In regards to his education, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 from George Washington University. Dr. Kleinman then graduated with his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 1980. He performed his anesthesiology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York from 1982 to 1985. He then completed a cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship from 1985 to 1986 from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.

With over four decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.
